High technology companies need leaders who act honestly when creating value.

I've always used my strong foundation of integrity and honesty and have fostered an open communication to keep my teams focused on being # 1 in their space.

Growing Up. I learned strong values and commitment through hard work as the last of eight children, on a farm in Michigan.  We grew beans, sugar beets, wheat and other crops on 200 acres.

Farming. My first job, at age 6, was making sure the cows had oats in the morning, which meant getting up at 5 a.m.  My first venture in a profit center was at age 16 when I leased six acres from my father to grow beans- after expenses -I made a profit.

Recreation. Number one in business, as in golf, means you've got to stay in the game.

At Work. After working my way through college, I began professional life as an electrical engineer, rising soon to management. A valuable early lesson that I practice to this day: overarching goals are achieved by helping everyone on the team to reach theirs.

Team. To maximize ROI, it’s important to find out what matters to all stakeholders – from the entrepreneurs, to the lead sales person, to the professional IT manager, to the investor who provides funding, and to the customer who uses the service.

The joy comes from identifying people’s passions and helping them reach their full potential.

Family. Every day I am thankful for life’s blessings; family, talent and treasure.  Of these - family is the greatest.

I stay in the game, identify critical steps, hold people accountable for their performance and reward them generously for meeting goals. It’s a winning formula for everyone involved.
